Delicious Turmeric Tea Recipes


For one of the most vibrant colored teas…

…that is loaded with antioxidants and can help fight off cancer and give anti-inflammatory benefits, all you need is a little turmeric root or a simple little tea bag. Either way you’ve got the power of one of the healthiest foods on earth and all you need is the simple healthy recipe to go along with it.

 

“Give me options please”

Your best bet is going to be from the fresh root. This way it is less processed and as we know going to be the healthiest and most nutrient dense way to eat a food. Any time I’m making tea with herbs or spices this is going to be my go to. It just takes a little prep work, but can go a long way in getting the health benefits from it.

 

Fresh Root Recipe

-Bring 2-4 cups of water to a boil (less for stronger tea)

-Grate in 1 Tbsp or ~1 inch of turmeric root and let simmer for 10 minutes

-Put in a tea ball if you have one

-Pour into mug and enjoy

-Coconut or butter are always great ways to get some fat in so that you can get maximum nutrient absorption from this very healthy food

-Save the rest, but use within 1-2 days for maximum freshness

 

The “I’m short on time” recipe

If you’re in a rush, but still want to get all of the health benefits from a superfood like turmeric a simple tea bag will work well. There are a few brands below that are very high in quality to avoid you getting any chemicals or toxins into your tea.

-Bring enough water to boil to fill your mug

-Pour water into mug and add tea bag

Rishi (a nice Organic turmeric and ginger blend)

-Let steep for 5-10 minutes and enjoy
